I have been incredibly impressed with John Harkin of J & R Harkin since our first meeting. He responded quickly and professionally to what we wanted done and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody. This process was stress free and we felt relaxed about that.

J & R Harkin offered a one stop package which covered every aspect of our job, from relocation of our house to the drafting, excavation of the new site, drainage, etc. John provided us with an overall solution that we were very happy with, plus it was made really easy for us.

I would recommend John to anybody. He was very quick in delivering a quote and willing to go and visit our sites to ensure that the quote he provided was accurate. His on-site and off-site manner is excellent; he doesnt get flustered and is very trustworthy. All his gear is top notch and is scrupulously maintained and very clean and tidy. I really cannot speak highly enough of him. Theres nothing I would change and I would absolutely recommend them.

John of J & R Harkin was brilliant; he did everything so I didnt have to do anything. John was also the best priced, his final bill was exactly what he had said it would be.

John has done two jobs for me, the first was my entire septic/waste and water systems and the second included the complete removal of a show home on to my site which he moved within three days. It was amazing he took the show home, cut it into three pieces and put it back together and it looked exactly the same – and he did it all within three days!!

John provided the whole package for me, he dug out the house platform, put in the drive way, all the service cables, moved the house, did the septic, got the tanks, organised the electricity, the drainage, the pump you name it he did it. In fact the only thing I had to do myself was connecting the phone with Telecom and that was the most painful part of moving the house.

I have nothing but praise for John and his team, who worked so hard to move my house in the middle of the night. They work very long hours, in all sorts of weather conditions and got my job done on time. I would recommend him to anyone. I would also recommend getting John to put the whole package of your move together. This saved us so much time and money and took away the stress of having to deal with varied contractors. We love our new house, so thanks again John for all your hard work!

Finally managed to see the house in motion… this morning as it was lowered! Walking round with a big smile now 🙂

Task: To remove a 100 year old bungalow from an Auckland urban section to enable a new build to take place.
J and R Harkin are truly amazing. From the minute they started on Monday morning preparing the house for removal until Tuesday evening when the house departed everything was handled with care and respect for an old house and absolute professionalism. Our two small boys enjoyed watching the progress and the guys at the house showed them the floor and let them watch the jacking up. On Tuesday night the house was gracefully lifted from her 100 year old bed and taken carefully out onto the road, there was no damage to any part of the property. Once the house was out the guys at J and R Harkin cleared up and then drove away with the house. We were extremely impressed with their skill, knowledge and how well the whole operation was executed. Absolutely Fantastic. We would highly recommend J and R Harkin for house removal.

John moved a house for me in three pieces, which is no easy task.  The house is in fantastic condition, he moved it on time and in a highly efficient manner.  He coordinated all the different aspects of the job so that everything went smoothly and he is incredibly easy to work with.
